This is my exam project at the end of my apprenticeship as a graphic designer.
The challenge was to create a branding for a big tango festival, accompanied by smaller vents, guerilla actions, print products.
My idea was to not only explain the different tango styles originally coming from Buenos Aires, Argentina – but also to bring back the very unique and colorful style of street life in this spirited city. So I created a handdrawn font that is the center of the festival branding, as well as a key visual consisting of dancers on a yellow swoosh (imitating their dance moves) and with red accessories. The products are bright and vibrant, promoting the tango to become a modern sport for everyone again.
